These easy-to-use models offer wide operating ranges (PRF, PW, amplitude, etc). Manually-controlled (switches and dials) and modern computer-controllable models (with GPIB, RS-232, and optionally Ethernet) are available. 


The AV-1030-B pulser offers a unique combination of general-purpose ease-of-use and high performance. The AV-1030-B provides up to +/- 5V with very fast 300 ps rise times. The pulse width is variable from 10 ns to 1 ms, the PRF is adjustable to 10 MHz, and a variable delay (up to 1 second) is provided. GPIB, RS-232, and Ethernet ports are included for computer control.


The AV-1021-B is a user-friendly, computer-controllable general-purpose pulse generator capable of operating to 5 MHz. The output amplitude is adjustable to +/- 10V, and the rise and fall times are fixed at 10 ns. The pulse width is variable from 20 ns to 0.5 seconds, and the main outputs can be delayed relative to the SYNC output by up to 1 second. Dedicated logic-level (TTL or ECL) outputs are also provided.


The AV-1023-C is a user-friendly, dual-channel general-purpose pulse generator capable of operating to 10 MHz. Two main outputs are provided, which share a common trigger source, but have independent pulse width, delay, and amplitude settings. The two channels may be added together to generate more complex waveforms. The output amplitude is adjustable to +/- 10V, and the rise and fall times are fixed at 10 ns. The pulse widths are variable from 50 ns to 0.5 seconds.


The AV-1041-B is a user-friendly, computer-controllable general-purpose pulse generator capable of operating to 100 kHz. The output amplitude is adjustable to +/- 20V, and the rise and fall times are fixed at less than 100 ns. The pulse width is variable from 200 ns to 0.5 seconds, and the main outputs can be delayed relative to the SYNC output by up to 1 second. Dedicated logic-level (TTL or ECL) outputs are also provided.


The AV-1011B3 series is a unique combination of general-purpose ease-of-use and high performance. The GPIB/RS-232-equipped AV-1011B3 series provides up to +/- 30V with very fast 0.5 ns rise times. The pulse width is variable from 100 ns to 10 ms, the PRF is adjustable to 100 kHz, and a variable delay to +/- 1 second is provided.


The AV-1015-B is a general-purpose, 0 to +/- 50V pulser, offering 10 MHz operation, 10 ns rise and fall times, pulse widths from 20 ns to 10 ms, and a variable delay of up to 1 second. When driving a 50 Ohm load, it can provide up to 1 Amp of current. This model is ideal for both general lab pulse/delay generator applications, as well as high-current laser diode pulsing applications.


The AV-1010-B is a GPIB/RS-232-equipped general-purpose, 0 to +/- 100V pulser, offering 1 MHz operation, 10 ns rise and fall times, pulse widths from 20 ns to 10 ms, and a variable delay of up to +/- 1 second. When driving a 50 Ohm load, it can provide up to 2 Amps of current. This model is ideal for both general lab pulse/delay generator applications, as well as high-current laser diode pulsing applications. In many applications, the AV-1010-B is a suitable alternative or replacement for the discontinued HP and Agilent models 214A, 214B, and 8114A.


The AV-1011B1 series is a unique combination of general-purpose ease-of-use and high performance. The GPIB/RS-232-equipped AV-1011B1 series provides up to +/- 100V with very fast 2 ns rise times. The pulse width is variable from 100 ns to 1 ms, the PRF is adjustable to 100 kHz, and a variable delay to +/- 1 second is provided.


The AVR-2B-B is a general-purpose high-power 100V pulse generator, with a wide pulse width range of 100 ns to 100 us, rise and fall times of 10 ns, and a maximum repetition rate of 100 kHz. This model can drive loads of 50 Ohms or higher. When used to drive a series combination of 50 Ohms and a laser diode, it can deliver up to 2 Amps to the diode. Peak powers of 200 Watts and average powers of 100 Watts can be delivered to a 50 Ohm load. Models in the AVR series may be suitable for replacing obsolete pulse generators from the former Velonex Corporation in many applications. In many applications, the AVR-2B-B is a suitable alternative or replacement for the discontinued HP and Agilent models 214A, 214B, and 8114A.


The AVR-3-B is a general-purpose 200V pulse generator, with a wide pulse width range of 100 ns to 100 us, rise and fall times of 10 ns, and a maximum repetition rate of 10 kHz. This model can drive loads of 50 Ohms or higher. When used to drive a series combination of 50 Ohms and a laser diode, it can deliver up to 4 Amps to the diode. Models in the AVR series may be suitable for replacing obsolete pulse generators from the former Velonex Corporation in many applications.


The AVR-4-B is a general-purpose 400V pulse generator, with a wide pulse width range of 100 ns to 100 us, rise and fall times of 15 ns, and a maximum repetition rate of 10 kHz. This model can drive loads of 50 Ohms or higher. When used to drive a series combination of 50 Ohms and a laser diode, it can deliver up to 8 Amps to the diode. Models in the AVR series may be suitable for replacing obsolete pulse generators from the former Velonex Corporation in many applications.


Key Features

Connectivity - A variety of connectivity options is made available (based on model variation). Standard conectivity includes: IEEE-488.2 GPIB and RS-232 computer control feature for models with -B.

Software - Labview drivers are available for selected models. 

Ethernet Ports and Remote Operation - Selected models have Options to add an ethernet port allowing the devices to be remotely accessed and controlled with secure protocols.

Front Panel Interface - The interface contains memory to store up to four complete instrument setups. The operator can use the front panel or the computer interface to store a complete "snapshot" of all key instrument settings, and recall this setup at a later time. This simplifies the setup of frequently performed experiments.
