Non-linear Crystals have extended the laser spectrum from deep UV to far IR by various harmonic generations, sum frequency generations (SFG), difference frequency generations (DFG), optical parametric oscillators (OPO), etc. Non-linear Crystals are applications typically used for nonlinear frequency conversion and inelectro-optic modulators.
