The Ka-Band Opto-Electronic Oscillator (Ka-Band OEO) functions upon the photonic generation of spectrally pure signals at RF and millimeter wave frequencies that allows signal sources to scale to higher frequencies with little to no reduction in phase noise performance.

It provides exceptionally low phase noise, low vibration and acceleration sensitivity.
