PM Fiber Beam Combiner / Splitter

The PM Fiber Polarization Beam Combiner/Splitter acts as a fiber polarized beam binder (PBC) or polarized beam splitter (PBS). It couples two beams of orthogonal polarization photocoupling into one fiber, or to couple the orthographic polarization light contained in one fiber into two polarized fibers, with the polarization direction parallel to the slow axis of the polarized fiber. The dual fiber end (Port1 and Port2) is the offset fiber, and the single fiber end (Port 3)  is the normal single-mode fiber or the guaranteed fiber.

If you have a fiber optic connector,  the insertion loss   increases by 0.3dB, the return loss decreases by 5dB,  and the polarization extinction ratio decreases by 2dB
