Right Angle Prism
Right Angle Prism is used to redirect the light at 90° by intentionally reflecting its pathway. Using a prism with a 90° angle, it is able to produce an image that is inverted based on the prism’s orientation. Thus, when incoming light hits the right-angled surface, it undergoes total internal reflection such that the reflected beam is also at 90°. Likewise, when the light hits the oblique surface of the prism, the reflection occurs twice on a 90° surface then exits parallel to the beam while inverted.
Simtrum provides a selection of substrates such as: BK7 and UVFS.
