Bi-Convex Spherical Lens
Bi-Convex Spherical Lens have positive focal length and the same radius of curvature on both sides of the lenses. It is built with two convex surfaces and can function similarly to Plano Convex Spherical Lens through light collimation. Designed to perform at minimum aberration at conjugate ratios. Known to be the best choice when object and image are at equal or near distance from lens, due to the symmetry, coma distortion and chromatic aberration alongside spherical aberration is cancelled out. Used in image relay applications, or for imaging objects at close conjugates.
